Madagascar!

I do not like shopping, and I especially do not like shopping on Black Friday......so instead we packed up the fam and hit the movies! Phil, Alaina, and their boys joined us, and I must say....much funner than shopping with crazy, out of control, psycho people. The movie was very cute, and the popcorn & cherry coke was excellent!

Thanksgiving!

This year our Thanksgiving was spent with my family, my gigantic family. My mom and her entire side of the family got together, at a church, for the festivities. Was very fun, and a big thanks to my aunt Becky and her family, who set up the church the day before with ping pong, basketball, and the WII. Great food, great company, and I am very thankful for all I have, especially this gigantic family of mine!

Girls Night Out!

I am refusing to title this post 'Twilight', because I have read about 50,000 blogs with the picture of the movie, that title, and their take on the show. So I will just call mine 'girls night out', because that IS what it was. I will add that I loved the movie, I thought they did a wonderful job, and the characters were great. Some will have to grow on me, but what do you expect when 4 books later I already have a mental image of over 10 characters. It was a wonderful night with all the girls......and thanks to Luarie and Asialene for the fun 'after party'! These were the only pictures I got, we got to our seats right as the lights went out, so these were taken in a dark theatre, with a very bright flash, and probably with a lot of angry women....but I didn't care. So....there were actually 27 of us that went, and it was great!!

I stole these pictures from Asialene's blog.......they are from the awesome after party!

Miss Ellie......the 'VIP'!

This week at school our Ellie is the VIP.....she made a very cute poster all about her likes and dislikes, with some pictures too. Today we went to school to eat lunch with her, one of the perks the VIP gets! Always fun to spend time with miss Ellie!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Ok, I know, its only November 17th. But guess what? I'm tired of putting up all the Christmas decor for only a few weeks, and then taking it all down and putting it away! It's a big effort people, so why not make it last a bit longer. So happily my family agreed to make our home 'Christmas ready' for FHE. The kids are still too young to realize that we were actually putting them to work carrying all the Christmas stuff up stairs from storage, and I hope they think it's fun for a few more years!

We are now officially ready for Christmas to come.....well except for the shopping, which I totally dread! So if I don't answer the door, or phone, it's because I am sitting in the dark with just the Christmas tree lights on, basking in the glory!

The Happiest Place on Earth....Day 5!!

Leaving the land of Disney for home....

What an amazing trip. Where else can you get..... quality family time, lots of laughing, great food, memories to last forever, tired/aching feet, crazy rides, weird people from all over the world, lines, crowds, hard hotel beds, whiny children, and soooooo much fun all in the same place?? You got it...Disneyland! Thanks mom and dad, you are amazing, wonderful, and my most favorite people! And you both get 'Mother/Father/Grandma/Grandpa of the Year' award!

We all love you!

The End....

The Happiest Place on Earth....Day 4!!

By day 4, can you still call it the happiest place on earth? I certainly don't think so, we were all Disney'd out by today! But we still made the most of it!

Waiting for our breakfast of Jamba Juice & Pretzels in Downtown Disney!

Jack's favorite ride.....the train! He couldn't stop smiling!

Toon Town!

Minnie's house!

Let me explain.....the entire trip, Paige & Ellie would hide under the beds, in either our room or my parents. So, my mom and I thought we would hide from my dad, however we couldn't stop laughing, and maybe some parts of our bodies didn't fit under as good as the girls did! And we didn't even scare my dad, more like shocked him!

Ellie & Paige got there faces painted earlier in the day, and before I was able to take a picture of how cute it was, we went on grizzly rapids. So this is what you get after water splashes over your head, paint drips down your face, and grandma tries to salvage it by cleaning up what she could. Also let me add, I do not enjoy getting wet, and was assured by my lover, dad, and children that they didn't get wet at all the previous times they went on this ride. They are liars! I was very very wet, so much that I had to change ALL of my clothes and put my hair in a wet bun for dinner! So I am giving myself mother of the year award for grinning and bearing it! Wish we had pictures, but were in a mad hurry to change and meet the fam for dinner. Now, after reading this post to Caiser, I got in trouble because I didn't nominate him for 'best father of the year', which he SO is!! Let me explain why.....I gave him crap the entire trip that he was a mean dad, because he would limit the food/crap/candy/churro/popcorn/ice cream intake the kids wanted. My dad agreed with me, and of course bought the kids whatever they wanted while giving Cais crap about it. I told Caiser my dad was the best dad ever growing up, and he should try and be a dad like that. From that moment on, he became the 'Funnest/Best Dad EVER', and when the girls begged to go on grizzly rapids this one last time, of course he said yes......therefore he thinks he deserves father of the year.

I do too.....
