This past weekend my lover and I visited the city of Seattle.....and had a blast!! Caiser had to travel there for business early in the week, & I flew out to meet him on Thursday for a anniversary/valentine's getaway! I'm pretty sure we packed in all we could do and see in the 4 days we were there, it was great to be together, with no children (thanks mom & dad, elaine & larry)!!
We stayed at a beautiful hotel....The Grand Hyatt, while checking in they asked if we were there for any special occasion. When we told them it was an anniversary getaway, they upgraded us to a suite on the top floor.......and later that night sent wine and chocolates to our room......so we got wasted! Just kidding.....graciously explained we didn't drink, and 2 minutes later they brought us sparkling cider and Pepsi! I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Seattle area!

This first afternoon we ate lunch & dinner at yummy restaurant's, saw the movie Push (dumb), and shopped at the 1st Nordstrom opened.....it was huge! We walked everywhere, no car, and it was great.....everything was so close with so much to see!
Day 2.....we headed out to Pike's Market for some site seeing, it was a fun market & would be so great to have something like that here, fresh seafood, meat, veg, and flowers everyday! We met up with one of Caiser's co-workers, Jace & his wife Shanna who also came out for the weekend. They were great, so easy going, and fun to hang with!
We then visited the Seattle Aquarium, which was very large, and had amazing sea life!
Caiser & Jace had been told to visit the Mexican restaurant 'Pesos' while here, so we headed there by way of Monorail & some serious walking! But it was well worth the trek, yummy!! The monorail dropped us off at the Seattle Space Needle, but we opted to not go up to the top, since it was $20 a person.....just didn't seem worth it to us & we were starving!

After lunch we headed to the 'Columbia Tower'.....the tallest building in Seattle, we were told you could go to an observation floor for much cheaper than the Space Needle. This was another trek in the opposite direction, so we hopped some buses & climbed some wicked steep hills. But again, well worth the trek & only $5 to go to the top!

And to finish the evening off, we were lucky to get ticket's to Broadway's The Lion King. The concierge laughed at us when we asked her if any tickets were available, but said she would check for cancellations. She called us and said we were 'crazy lucky', and had 2nd row seats available. It was a great show.....amazing, and the Paramount Theatre was beautiful, and only 1 block away from our hotel! When the show got out at 11pm, we headed to The Cheesecake factory for a little midnight snack!
Day 3, Valentine's day..... we decided to take a ferry over to one of the many islands. We chose Bainbridge Island, which was pretty lame, and didn't have much shopping. But the ride there and back was beautiful & very fun! We then ate clam chowder on the pier and did some more shopping.
We came across this cute shop on the island called ' Kennedy & Kate ' we thought this was funny because these are our girls middle names!
The boys however, found a few cute things in the stores on the island.
Caiser wanted to eat dinner here for Valentine's (The Lusty Lady).....but forgot he had already made reservations for us at Ruth's Chris. It was a wonderful dinner.......very romantic & very yummy!
Sunday we flew home......it was such a great trip, so fun to visit new places & do new things! The one thing we did not document w/pictures was the Starbucks on every corner......it was great, we never went without a hot chocolate or frappuccino! Always fun to go away.....and always so nice to come back home!
