Breakfast w/Paige!

Because today is the last day 'on track' for Paige and her class, her teacher's held a special breakfast. The kids have the opportunity to earn 'class money' all year, and usually spend the money on different items their teachers supply, toys, markers, candy, ect. Instead of the toys, they decided to let the kids use their money to invite guests to this breakfast. Paige invited me, Kara, and Jack (I know, not Ellie....sisters, gotta love em)! Caiser was invited too, but had a meeting he couldn't get out of. Anyway....it was very cute, very yum, and sweet of Paige to use her money to invite & feed us! The Easter bunny also made a quick visit! A very cute idea, Paige has wonderful teachers! And a great Aunt Kara too!

Mom's Birthday Celebration's!

Today was my cute mom's birthday. Every year we, my siblings and I, rack our brains to think of a great present for her. This year we had more obstacles than we've had in the past, her leaving for Japan in 3 1/2 months. So us girls decided to take her out last night. We hit Nordstrom's, where she picked out her own presents, a beautiful necklace, bracelet, and earrings. Then we ate at The Cheesecake factory. A very fun 'girls night out'.....

And then this evening mom wanted to have her birthday celebration continue with all of us....crazy, I would have opted for a quiet dinner with dad. So we all met at Cafe Rio. Of course all of the kids wanted to sit with mom....so after some serious musical tables, mom & the kids ended up on their own cute little table (which was fine by me)!

With Leatherby's right next door, of course we needed dessert.....so we made our way over for some serious ice cream.

Thanks for celebrating with us mom.....Happy Birthday!

Oh the Movies!

The kids and I, along with my parents hit the movies Saturday (Caiser was on a 'work' golf trip). We saw Race to Witch Mountain.....very cute! I think the kids like the popcorn, cherry coke, chocolate, and whatever other crap they talk my parents into better than the movie. Notice their trays chuck full of crap! Thanks mom and dad!

Nordstroms & Girl's Lunch....plus Jack!

Last week my mom, Jack and I hit the new Nordstrom.....and did some serious shopping! Ok, really mom did all the shopping, new watch, mission clothes, make-up. I was just along for the ride, which was great.....the new store is awesome! I was going to buy me a pair of Jimmy Choo's for $675, but I didn't want to make anyone jealous, so next time! After being at the mall for 4 hours, we needed food..... my aunt Becky, and grandma joined us!

Days like these are just one of the things I will miss most when my mom is in Japan. So fun to hang out with my mom......however, I will not let this get me sad, because I will be taking so many more pictures of everything I do, so my mom can feel like she is there with me. So stop crying mom, go practice your Japanese, and don't think about what you will miss.....but what you will gain!

Decade Day!

Friday was 'Decade Day' at school for Paige & Ellie. Of course Thursday night the girls were frantic, trying to think of what they could wear, and also trying to figure out what was worn during the different decades. I finally convinced them that the 80's were the coolest, and that we could use some of their clothes too! As I was getting them ready, I had a good laugh, thinking about the cool outfits I had, and the awesome hair-do's. However, I think my hair was my moms fault.....it was scary hair people, I'll have to go through my old pictures and post my awesome 80's hair! The girls had fun & I think they looked great!

My Wonderful Daughters!

Tonight we had Parent/Teacher Conference for the girls. I always look forward to meeting with their teachers and hearing what they think of my lovely daughters. Paige and Ellie both received wonderful 'reports', and I am very proud of the smart girls they are. I am so grateful for Paige & Ellie and the good girls they are, I never have to push or nag at them to do their schoolwork, they do it all on their own! How'd I get so lucky?

Of course we celebrated in style......with some Training Table!

Our Last Week of February!

We had a lovely February.....but I am so looking forward to spring and all it's goodness, so bring on March and her beauty, I hope! Here's how we spent our last week of February....

With my parents being called to serve as mission presidents in the Japan, Fukuoka mission......we decided to celebrate at Tepanyaki, a pretty good version of Japanese food.....right?! Either way, it was yum and fun, and adults only!

We had both sets of parents over for a yummy BBQ!

And then it was warm for like 1 day, or maybe even just a few hours....so we sat outside and basked in the sorda warmness! The kids enjoying their motorized fun, & I enjoyed sitting on the porch with my US magazines and a vanilla coke thanks to my lover!

Then Paige & I had a date together with Richelle & Brooke for pedicures! Good times with 'Jimmy & Rickeeeeeee'!

Jack eating his version of 'cheesecake'....it's actually just the whipping cream on top, but that's all he wants, which is great, we don't actually have to share the good stuff!

And finally, Ellie & I had our turn at a special date.....she chose a pedicure too!
