Picture Time!

Today Caiser and I decided to check the girls out of school, try and make everyone look cute, and go up Big Cottonwood to take some family pictures. Here's what we got, after me yelling to get smiles, me dancing to get smiles, and a few tears from my yelling and dancing!!

A Busy Tuesday!

I didn't think my day was too bad, until I was talking to my sister-in-law & she asked me what I did and how my day was. I wish I had documented everything I did with a picture, but no, so here are a couple pictures I did take.....

Jack & Evan leaving for 'picture day' at pre-school.

Ellie went to a birthday party....where she got her hair, nails, & toes done!

And finally....Jack eating his dinner 2 hours after the rest of us ate, 3 trips to time-out, and a lot of tears!

What I didn't take pictures of was.......Caiser and I going on a brisk morning walk, taking the boys to Chik fil A, me going visiting teaching (I know, can you believe it), laundry, cleaned my hardwood floor, homework for the girls, and finally.....a jamba juice run with Heidi! I think I'm going to start documenting my days so I know I actually get things done besides blogging, blog stalking, and watching the new 90210!!

Mexico City Watch Out!

My most favorite cousin, Eric (sorry to all my other cousins....its true, he is), got his mission call on Friday....he called to invite me and the kids to come share the special moment of 'opening the call' with him & his family(Cais was invited too, but was golfing, of course). Anyway....it was so great to be there and share this special day with him and his family, who I love dearly. So Mexico City, Mexico is where he is off to come January 21st....I am so excited and proud of him!

Mexico people...get ready for this cute boy!

Of course cake & ice cream to follow the 'opening',(which by the way was the best cake EVER!! Albertson's snickers cake....try it!)

And my cute mom!

Arizona Alone Time!

Last Saturday my lover and I jetted of to AZ for some alone/play/relaxation time (thank you to our wonderful parents who made it possible)! It was a wonderful getaway & I wish we could do it every month. But we were excited to come home to see the kids, however, could have turned around and gone back about an hour after being home!

We stayed at The Marriott Canyon Villas and also had access to the JW Marriott across the street, which had a wonderful spa, and about 7 awesome pools. After looking back, we did so much, yet I felt like we had down/relaxed time too. The highlight of our trip, besides the wonderful Mexican food, was going to the Arizona Cardinals football game.....in a dome! I have always wanted to go to a prof. football game, & always wanted to see one in a dome. This dome was amazing & gigantic! We were both in awe! Not so much impressed with the cost of tickets....$50 each for the freakin 2nd to top row, but next time we'll know to buy early, and suck it up and pay for better seats!

Our other adventures included......floating the lazy river while bagging some rays, water slides, shopping, movies, late night ice cream, hitting the spa for a couples massage, eating the best Mexican food ever, and being alone- just the 2 of us!

Of course, I have only 5 pictures.....its weird to take pictures of just each other! So here we are in our rental car when we arrived, and at the football game!

Utah State Fair!

I know, I know....after all my complaining about the county fair, why would I put myself through it all again? Well, the answer is my lovely parents wanting all of us to get together for some family fun, and what better place than the state fair! This time however, was so much more entertaining.....animals, pony rides, ghetto rides, Ethan almost falling off a ride, and my favorite....my lover almost getting in a fight with a 'game operator' (who amazingly had teeth). The story is too long, ask me about it though, its a good one! Anyway here we all are enjoying the nice overcast day at the fair. Seriously, it was pretty fun & always nice to be with the fam!

Jack's First Day of Pre-school!

And he's off.........I can't believe my baby is going to pre-school!! I've only been thinking about all the things I'm going to do while he's gone, and I haven't even realized that this is it...... no more first days of pre-school after Jack..... no more bottles, diapers, diaper bags..... no more late night feedings, baby puke, lugging a baby car seat around, & changing tables at restaurants......no more high chairs, cribs, baby food, or 3 outfit changes a day......WOW! Does this mean I'm old or mature?? I'm gonna go with mature, and a bit lucky to have some free time!

I do have to say that the past month with the girls at school all day, and just me and jack hanging out has been great......I realized a few things I'd overlooked about my Jack, they are:

He talks A LOT!!
He gets angry quickly if I try and do something without turning Dora on first.
Iego Iego means Diego Diego.
This kid wants to eat non-stop.
He still wants me to hold him.
We are amazing dancers together.
And most importantly when its just the 2 of us, I get so many loves & kisses!

I am so excited Jack is going to school, this did not make me sad, but made me reflect.....
My little family is growing up, and I love this!! I am not sad to be done with the baby years, they were wonderful, but also very busy and tiresome. Each stage in life with the kids gets funner and easier, we are able to do so many more things as a family. I am excited as to what the future holds for this family of MINE! And each day only gets better and better.

All 3 kids off to school..........
