1st grade....here comes Ellie!

And off to 1st grade she goes! Ellie is not one to be scared or nervous with new adventures, but usually irritated or put out.....not today, she was anxious and excited to go, which made me the feel the same! So we did it all over again, not the pancake breakfast, but Trix cereal was just as good.

Then pictures, and more pictures, and then off to the school for final pictures! I can't believe she's in school all day, crazy, but exciting! She's been so fun to have at home with me & Jack, and I will miss her, but I'm excited for this year of school and all that she will be learning!

3rd grade... here comes Paige!!

It seems like school just got out, oh it did 3 weeks ago, and now here we go again. Today was Paige's first day of 3rd grade, and she was excited to go. We started the morning off with yummy pancakes, made by dad.

Then a lot of pictures, thanks to mom! I just can't help it, she looks so grown up to me & I want her to stay my little girl! But I know she can't be little forever, so I have to document with as many pictures as possible, so I always remember!

Next, we went to the bus stop, and then followed her to the school for some more pictures (at her request). We changed tracks this year, but she was pleasantly surprised to find her good friend Morgan had too, and they are in the same class. Where has the time gone?? 3rd grade....wow!

Paige and one of her teachers, Mrs. Easton, I hope she's a good teacher (ha ha)!

Then this afternoon Ellie was able to go meet her 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Saunders. Should be a fun filled year for Ellie, with lots of new treats for her.... school lunch, homework, and a longer day, no more 3 hour kindergarten. Her first day is tomorrow, and then its just me & Jack!

24th of July!

We had a fun, festive, 24th of July this year. We started by swimming and a lunch BBQ at mom and dads. My aunt and her kids, Kurt, Kara & Ethan came to play too, and together we all swam and ate a lot!

We then continued with the festivities by having a dinner BBQ at our house with friends in the ward! Caiser and I bought a night of serenading by Bishop Eggett at our ward auction earlier this year, and we cashed in tonight. We were lucky to have purchased this, because he sings beautifully, and he and his wife were a wonderful addition to the party!

Then we hit the street for some awesome 'white trash' fireworks, as we like to call them. I thought they were great, but the boys all decided next year they're making a drive to Wyoming for some 'good stuff'! But we were all pleasantly surprised by the good folk of Riverton, who were launching some illegals of their own all over, so we sat and watched those too! And of course, Chelsea was the hit of the night for the kids with her glow bracelets, thanks Chels! A lovely 24th of July I might say, filled with . . . . . good food, family, friends, and fun!

Mama Mia!

A bunch of girlfriends and I went to the movie Mama Mia Wednesday night, and we were not disappointed at all!! This movie was wonderful! I saw the Play in Las Vegas about 5 years ago, and loved it, but I have to say I think I like the movie better! There's only so much you can do on a stage, and where this movie was filmed is beautiful! Go see this movie if you haven't yet, it is awesome! I took Paige & Ellie to see it on Friday, and I liked it even better the second time! They can't stop singing and want to know when it comes out on video! Again..... a must see!

A Night of Baseball!

Caiser decided it would be fun to hit a Bees game, and lucky for us they were in town and playing tonight! We sent out a mass text, and were able to round up some fun friends to join us. It was very HOT and very humid, but eventually cooled down to an enjoyable temp. It was very fun, besides the kids wanting something to eat every 10 minutes. Obviousy ice cream, cotton candy, and drinks were not enough. I'll remember to sneak treats in next time! Easton's, Kotter's, & Nelson's made the night so much fun......thanks guys!
