2009.....bring it!

New Year's Eve was perfect.....good friends, good food, great entertainment! Since I am oh so smart, I made reservations for dinner this year, and nothing makes me happier than walking into a crowded restaurant, giving them my name, and being seated while everyone else who's been there awhile looks at us with anger! We hit Goodwood for dinner, Frogurt for some dessert, and then partied hard w/the kids at our house with some serious Rock Band!

Jack didn't make it, and was sound asleep when the ball dropped, but the girls were able to throw their confetti they've been making for months now. I told them to go scream and dance and throw the confetti in the road. Well, they made it to the driveway.....and now we have colorful snow. Happy New Year!

And Then We Clean....

After decorating the house for Christmas so early this year, I figured it was ok to take it down quickly, seeing that it had been up for an ample amount of time. And when my WONDERFUL mom called Sunday night to see if I wanted her help the next morning, I could not refuse! With the kids help, we busted it out in no time.........then I sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed my clutter free house (for a minute or 2, until the kids came in the room and made it all messy again)!

Thanks mom.......you are the BEST!!

Santa Clause Arrived!

What a wonderful day Christmas is and has always been for me......and today was no different! We started our morning out, not to early, Caiser actually woke me up before the kids were awake. So we cuddled a bit, and that always seems to wake the kids up! And we were off to see what the Big guy brought us all!

And oh boy did he bring us some goodies!!

After presents, presents, and more presents, some breakfast and a shower, we were off to grandma and grandpa's house. Despite the blizzard outside, the cars stuck in the snow all over the place, and no snow blower, we made it to mom & dad's where we ate drank, and were Merry all over again! And of course.......More Presents!!

This grandma and grandpa were no different than the others, and spoiled us all.....BAD! And again, we loved it all, but love them even more! Thank you to my wonderful parents and Caiser's too for a perfect Christmas!

What a wonderful holiday season it was for our family! We have much to be thankful for, and are so blessed with such wonderful families and friends! Thank you, to all of you!

Christmas Eve with The Hogan's!

Christmas Eve is always spent with Caiser's family......it is something we all look forward to, it is fun, relaxing, and a great way to spend the evening! Eating, drinking, and being MERRY! It seems to be my cute mother-in-law's 'tradition' to NEVER eat on time! But, we have come to expect this, and came prepared with a YUMMY shrimp platter from Costco to snack on before dinner. Another one of Elaine's traditions, is to go WAY overboard with presents, and not only on the kids, but Cais and I too! She does to much, but we love it, and we love her! But most importantly.........we LOVE to just be together with family!

P.S I cannot figure out the damn font size, and make it normal.....I tried to be creative and do color, but look what happens. So there you go, enjoy the large print on this post!

Christmas Eve Lunch!

It's my families tradition to go to lunch on Christmas Eve day. The last few years we have gone to Francesco's in Taylorsville. But since our move to Riverton, and introducing 'the fam' to Rock Creek Pizza, they can't get enough. So we met for our 'traditional' lunch, and it was yummy! And it's always so fun to be together as a family, with everyone so happy and excited with anticipation for tomorrow! Merry Christmas Eve!
