4th of July Weekend!!

Our weekend started Thursday night with a birthday dinner for grandma Elaine at Cafe Rio'...yum!

After dinner we drove up to Midway to spend the weekend with family. The kids all watching a movie before bed that night.

The next 3 days we.....

Swam

Paige went boating w/Kurt & Kara and Phil & Alaina....Cais and I stayed back at the pool.

Hung out...

Caiser hacked down a tree....yes, there is an HOA. No, they don't trim it. Yes, they must have thought it was a bush. No, mom and dad never wanted him to hack it when they lived in the USA.

Before...

After...

Kara made sugar cookies.....so we frosted and decorated.

And Alaina brought up crazy glasses to decorate...

Went to the park...

Played some serious Frisbee, kick-ball, and catch....

Caiser's family joined us on the 4th for a BBQ...

Sunday morning on the way home, we stopped for breakfast at Soldier Hollow Golf Course.

And with all the trains in Midway and Heber, Jack wanted his picture taken on one. Of course he was scared the whole time!

A great weekend! Missed mom & dad....still not used to them being gone! But so great to be with most of our family!

New Family Pictures!

Back in June we had family pictures taken. Last big family pictures for 3 years! Dad wanted to take them on the 'mink ranch' where he grew up. There is a small grey house that dad and his brothers lived in when they were younger, dad thought it might get torn down while in Japan, so we took advantage of it still standing. What a fun location, and I think they turned out great! Thanks to Miss Heidi and her photog skills....we love them!

The Rest of the Fam....

The group shots....not edited yet, gotta find that perfect one with all the kids looking fabulous (or we'll just swap their head out)...

Notice the old grey house in the background...

Just a few more....

My favorite shot of the old grey house!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple!

Today we attended the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. What an interesting temple, so different than any of the others I've been through. It was beautiful! I loved it! And so wonderful to be their with Caiser and the kids!

Our friends, Perry & Erin were in town, so we, along with Dane & Natalie all enjoyed the temple together. Then some Chick-fil-A, and visiting back at our house! Always good times, laughing, and of course the boys being idiots when we get together with these friends, so fun!
